Navigate Istanbul's massive new airport with ease. Priority security, passport control and buggy assistance across the terminal.
Late-night wave 22:00–02:00
A Istanbul Airport (IST) fast track pass costs $35 per person and typically saves 30–80 minutes compared with the standard line. It covers Main Terminal, and the busiest period to plan around is late-night wave 22:00–02:00. Book online in a minute, choose arrival, departure or transit, and your digital QR pass arrives by email with instant confirmation. Show it on your phone at the priority lane; there is no membership or app to install, and everyone named on the booking goes through together.
Istanbul has two airports. This pass is for Istanbul Airport (IST) on the European side, the Turkish Airlines hub that replaced Atatürk. It is not valid at Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) on the Asian side.
IST operates from a single main terminal that is one of the largest under one roof in the world. Distances are long: walking from a far pier to passport control can take 15 minutes or more, which is why queue time at the checkpoints matters.
On arrival, the pass gives priority at Turkish passport control before baggage reclaim. On departure, it covers the priority lane at the entrance security check, outbound passport control and the second security screening before the gates. Every passenger is still screened.
Many travellers pass through IST on a Turkish Airlines connection. The transit pass helps at the transfer security point, which can be busy when several banks connect.
Meeting point: Your exact meeting point and the name of your assistant are shown on the QR pass we email after booking.
The heaviest wave runs late at night, roughly 22:00 to 02:00, when Turkish Airlines connects flights between Europe, Asia and Africa. Summer and religious holidays add further pressure on passport control.
Istanbul Airport is about 40 kilometres north of the city centre. The M11 metro line runs to Gayrettepe and Kağıthane, and Havaist buses run to Taksim, Sultanahmet and other districts. Taxis are available outside arrivals; the road journey can take an hour or more in heavy traffic.
When departing, expect an initial security check at the terminal entrance before you reach check-in, then passport control and a further screening point. Turkish Airlines usually closes check-in 60 minutes before international departures. On arrival, eligible visitors may need an e-Visa, which should be arranged online before travel; have your passport and any visa printout ready. Transfer passengers should follow the purple transfer signs to the international transfer area, where boarding passes for the next flight are checked before screening. Travellers with short connections between Turkish Airlines flights will find the priority lane useful when connecting banks overlap.
